Deon's latest film, the horror thriller Chain Letter starring Nikki Reed, will open in cinemas in October. He co-wrote, directed and produced the movie.
Jamie will next be seen in Due Date directed by Todd Phillips. He reunites with Robert Downey Jr, his co-star in The Soloist, in the film.

The Hollywood | George Michael faces drugs charges

George Michael has been charged with driving under the influence of drugs after he smashed his car into a high street shop.
George, 47, whose real name is Georgios Panayiotou, also faces charges of possession of cannabis, Scotland Yard said.
He was arrested in July this year after he crashed his Range Rover into a branch of Snappy Snaps, the photographic shop, in Hampstead, north London.
The singer was not breathalysed at the scene as he insisted to officers he had not been drinking, it was reported at the time. He is thought to have been tested for drugs at a police station later.
The Wham! star, from nearby Highgate, who has a history of drug use, was on police bail following the crash.
He was charged when he reported to a police station in Camden, north London, on Thursday.
In a statement Scotland Yard said: "He was released on police bail to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on August 24."
A short time after the crash in the early hours of Sunday July 4, a spokesman for Snappy Snaps confirmed the damage to the shop.
Windows were shattered and the shop's yellow wooden panels were cracked.
A spokeswoman for George said there was no comment available.

The Hollywood | Jen Aniston enjoyed talking dirty

Jennifer Aniston has admitted she is having fun showing off her naughty side in Horrible Bosses.
In the comedy, the former Friends star - known for being the girl next door - talks and acts dirty as feisty Dr Julia Harris, a dentist who resorts to blackmailing an employee (played by Charlie Day) so he cheats on his fiancee.
"I'm having the time of my life, it's fantastic - the crazy part is the ease with which all these words are falling out of my mouth, I don't know what I've unlocked here," she told USA Today.
The 41-year-old added: "It's so funny and weird and twisted. I'm naked with Charlie Day, who I've known for minutes."
Jennifer has completed filming Horrible Bosses, which also stars Colin Farrell, Kevin Spacey and her co-star in The Switch, Jason Bateman, and which is due for release in 2011.

The Hollywood | Julia Roberts' co-star in hospital

The Balinese fortune-teller featured in forthcoming Julia Roberts film Eat Pray Love has been admitted to hospital.
Ketut Liyer has become a celebrity in his village of Ubud since Elizabeth Gilbert's best-selling memoir came out in 2006
His granddaughter said his heart ailment, which came on just days before the film is released in the US, may have been caused by exhaustion.
Tourists and locals have flocked to his house on Indonesia's resort island of Bali so he could read their palms. His granddaughter, Wayan Puspita Sari, said the 96-year-old has been asked to appear in several commercials and advertisements.
"He is exhausted by all of this," she said. "It may have affected his health."
Liyer, who also has a prostate problem, was admitted to hospital over the weekend and underwent prostate surgery, his doctor said. Though he has made a strong recovery and says he wants to return home, the fortune-teller is being asked to stay at least one week.
Hollywood star Julia plays Gilbert in Eat Pray Love, a story about a frustrated divorcee who takes a year-long trip to Italy, India and Bali in search of inner peace. She met with Liyer during the shooting and filmed several scenes inside his home.
